Under City Ordinance 1430, the City of Palm Springs requires private residence and business owners to have their alarm system registered (permitted) with the City.  Maintaining an alarm system permit is not only the law, it will ensure proper emergency response to a known permitted address when an emergency situation exists.

The operation of a non-permitted alarm system is illegal in Palm Springs and can result in costly fines and delayed emergency response times. The fee for a new alarm permit is $25.00 and the annual renewal fee is $20.00.  Each year, the City of Palm Springs will mail the permit renewal to you.

Online Application
Fill in permit application and pay online with credit card or check.

Mail-in Application
 Fill in permit application.  Print and mail with $27.00 check or money order.
